The International Parents and Students Support Group
of subsidised international schools in the Netherlands

Welcome to the website of the IPSSG

The International Parents and Students Support Group (IPSSG) was established in 1997 and is a parents based information platform for subsidised international secondary schools in the Netherlands.

The IPSSG consists of parent-representatives of secondary schools that are part of the state funded Dutch International Schools (DIS). Different from the private international schools, DIS schools are part of the Dutch school system and are as such financially supported by the Dutch Ministry of Education, offering quality education for a reasonable fee , which is mandatory and non-negotiable. At this moment there are 16 DIS primary schools, called the Dutch International Primary Schools (DIPS). Besides, there are 13 DIS secondary schools, called the Dutch International Secondary Schools (DISS).

The IPSSG meets 4 times per school year with one or two parents per school, at the International School in Utrecht discussing topics, exchanging ideas, and preparing an agenda for the annual meeting with the DISS Board and with the IB Organisation.

The IPSSG enjoys being part of a larger international community. The website wants to help people that are living abroad, planning to move to The Netherlands, to find information and links to the various DIS schools and their diploma programmes.
